NVIDIA Jetson Developer Kits are ideal for running AI models or for robotics at the edge. Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit is one of their latest AI computer with Jetson Orin Nano 8GB module of Jetson module series with 1024-core NVIDIA Ampere architecture GPU with 32 Tensor Cores with 67 TOPS of AI performance.

By default design, this carrier board frame doesn’t have any holes for mounting to create a cluster. On the other hand I searched on online marketplaces for a cluster mount and couldn’t find any. So I built one myself and I’m sharing all the information of building the rack tower mount.

Note that, based on your requirement you can either stack these carrier boards on a rack tower [1] or use a DIN rail [2] to mount them horizontally. I chose the rack tower mount due to it’s compact design.

To build the cluster, apart from the jetsons and memory cards following items are needed.

  1. Jetson Orin Nano Dev Kit mount base x 4
  2. M3 40+6 standoffs x 12 + M3 bolts…
